There are now literally thousands of music-based apps on the iTunes app store that are taking the mobile device way beyond the traditional playback functions of the iPod, and their users digital music collections. This trend is quickly spreading to other mobile platforms and devices too. Want to stream unlimited music? Want to make beats on the move? Want to connect and interact with your favourite artist? Want to create DJ mixes on the plane? There's an app for that!
The dance community has always been made up of progressive, trend setting musicians and entrepreneurs and so should be well positioned to embrace this new technology. But what does it all mean? Are these apps a promising revenue stream, a new way to connect with fans or just a marketing gimmick? This panel will offer an insight into what is possible today and how you could be using mobile apps to gain an advantage in your business.
